Junior Achievement Young Enterprise (JAYE) Malta Foundation is a member of the world’s largest non-profit making organisation dedicated to preparing young people for the world of work. JAYE Malta has been involved in the field of Entrepreneurship Education for over 25 years. We offer our programmes to students ranging between the ages of 7-30 attending Primary to Tertiary institutions. Participants are given a unique hands-on experience through the planning, creation and setting-up of their own business venture. Such an experience allows them to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to become successfully employed and enter the world of entrepreneurship with confidence. Competences and attitudes that are heavily sought after by employers and recruitment agencies across the globe!
The programmes JAYE Malta offers cannot be possible were it not for the help and support of Volunteers or members of the business community acting as Business Advisors and Mentors. These volunteers, representing a spectrum of backgrounds and areas of expertise, become an inspiring role model for the students guiding them through the various stages of the programme, helping them get the best out of their team experience. Should you be interested in becoming a volunteer, advisor or mentor for any of our programmes contact us or continue reading for information!
TYPES OF VOLUNTEERS
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A JAYE MALTA VOLUNTEER!
JAYE Malta recruits General Volunteers (JMGV) who are interested in giving something back to the community and sharing their life skills with young people in education. Our programme events and highlights would not be possible were it not for our Volunteers, who support the overall operation of JAYE Malta.
The main responsibility of the Business Advisor (BA) is to provide the knowledge, skills, time and above all, enthusiasm to inspire our Company Programme participants, aged 16–19 years towards a path of excellence in guiding them through the various stages of setting-up and running a successful business.
The main responsibility of the Business Mentor (BM) is to guide our Start Up Programme participants, usually university level students aged 19–30 year old in the development of their business acumen through an enriching experience based on the ‘learning by doing’ process that JAYE programmes encourage.
