Home of JAYE Malta Alumni
Those achievers who have participated in any of JAYE Malta Programme, represent a vast pool of know-how, a network of young “ambassadors” and leaders, who can furnish all kinds of formal and informal support to the organisation’s activities and programmes.
At the same time it is important to ensure that such achievers do not loose the benefits experienced from such programmes but should be encouraged to develop their skills further and put them into practice in their future careers.
They already know and understand the rewards of “learning-by-doing”. It is thus the Organisation’s duty to build on the skills and aptitudes they developed in its enterprise programmes. Every contact they make and every practical experience they gain will count towards their own success as individuals.
JAYE Malta Foundation aims to exploit its long-standing involvement in the field of entrepreneurship education and its involvement in one of the world’s leading organisations in this field by assuming greater Political involvement in the formulation of policies on enterprise and enterprise education. As part of our association with a global network, JAYE offers the following value to our collaborators and participation. Students are given the opportunity to develop a number of soft skills such as team building, time management and risk assessment in a learning-by-doing manner, through the participation our various initiatives.
Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Malta Foundation is a registered NGO that provides entrepreneurship education programmes in schools and academic institutions at primary, secondary, post-secondary and tertiary levels. Over the past decade the Foundation’s remit has expanded in order to target youth as young as 7 years of age in order to help assist their career potential. This is done through the delivery of co-curricular programmes based on clearly defined learning outcomes that help develop soft skills that are imperative for youth formation and preparation for the world of work. Through ‘learning by play’ and ‘learning by doing’, JAYE Malta focuses on developing employability skills, financial literacy and entrepreneurship amongst tomorrow’s leaders.
A one and a half day training seminar providing teachers with first-hand knowledge and experience on how to conduct entrepreneurship education sessions. After this, a workshop based on the tool “Creative Platform Learning”, allowing the participants to use prior knowledge on teaching, to develop new teaching sequences that allows a unity of core curricular and entrepreneurial learning outcomes will be organised. On the second day, Teachers wishing to participate will be able to deliver lessons during the morning so that the participating teachers are given a unique opportunity to test the material with students immediately.
The Entrepreneurial School
JAYE Malta has developed networks that support both youth and professional development in the field of entrepreneurship education through the establishment of The Entrepreneurial School, facilitating the exchange of good practice, online resources and simulcast of training initiatives delivered by corporate sponsors.
Words Of Thanks
As a non-profit, non-governmental organisation, Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Malta Foundation, (JAYE Malta), finances its operations and programmes through the generous support of our Business partners, Corporate and Programme Sponsors. JAYE Malta would like to thank all our Sponsors and Partners for their long lasting support.
The financial challenges faced by the organisation in its ambitious efforts to offer entrepreneurship education to a wider spectrum of students in a progressive manner, are indeed substantial but would not be possible without our sponsors. The aspiration of JAYE Malta is to provide young people, aged between (8-30) with a practical insight of entrepreneurship. Once more we would like to express our gratitude to our ever present sponsors, for without you our efforts would surely be futile. Together may we prosper and work tirelessly in the efforts of unveiling the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
